The merger created Malaysia’s largest Oil & Gas service provider with an equity value well above RM10 billion, and ranked among the top five oil & gas service companies in the world by asset value. SapuraClough Offshore has acquired the shares of Helix in the SapuraHelix JV (formerly known as CloughHelixJV). By virtue of this acquisition the vessel Normand Clough with the two ROV XLX and the inbuilt saturation diving system will be from now on operated and controlled 100% by SapuraClough Offshore. The Normand Clough is currently working in the Berantai field before mobilizing for Sakhalin for MRTS. SapuraClough Offshore is the result of the acquisition of the Marine Construction division of Clough by the malaysian SapuraCrest group, operation completed december 2011.

SapuraClough Offshore announced that it has been awarded by Origin Energy Resources Ltd the Subsea Installation contract for the Origin Otway Phase 3 Development. The field will be developed and operated by Origin Energy Resources together with its Joint Venture partners Toyota Tsusho (Australasia) Pty Ltd and Benaris International Pty Ltd. The scope of work involves project management, installation engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning associated to the development of the Geographe discovery, located approximately 55 km offshore Port Campbell, Victoria.  The Normand Clough is the main installation vessel for the scope.

SapuraClough Offshore announced today the award of a contract by Mezhregiontruboprovostroy (MRTS) for Gazprom Dobycha Shelf, as part of the Sakhalin 3 project development. The field is located, in a water depth of up to 85 metres, in the sea of Okhotsk, approximately 28 kilometres off the east coast of Sakhalin Island, in the Russian Far East. The project includes the installation of Umbilicals, Spools, Jumpers, pre-commissioning and other subsea saturation diving activities; the total project duration is approx 100 days, starting from mid May.

Clough Limited has completed the sale of Clough's Marine Construction business to SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad. The new Company trading as SapuraClough Offshore will continue to operate from Perth, with a long-term focus on Australian market and retaining the same Clough Marine Construction's management, resources and offices.

In addition to its existing assets (DLB Java Constructor, DSV Normand Clough), SapuraClough Offshore will have full access to Sapura Crest Asset fleet and resources, including the new built(s) Sapura 1200 and Sapura3500.
