SapuraClough Offshore is very proud to announce that we have received, in partnership with Robert Elks and Phillips, the 2013 WA Engineering Excellence Award for the category “Innovation and Development” for our DomGas Rock Bolting Rigs.

This success story started more than three (3) years ago with the preparation of the tender and subsequent award by Chevron of the DomGas pipeline to SapuraClough. A substantial part of the subsea installation scope covered the stabilisation of the pipeline using more than 1,400 rockbolts. With our great track record in rock bolting operations  in Western Australia, we decided to design, construct, commission and utilise our own equipment using in-house intellect and experience.

The design and construct phase was completed safely in record time and the offshore installation within time and budget, to the satisfaction of our end client.

This award goes to DomGas project team and most of all to all the engineers who took part in this innovative, creative, multidisciplinary and safe piece of engineering art.
